Call for Publications

A part of the responsibility of ICOMOS Nigeria is to provide its members and the general public with access to resources aiding the expansion of knowledge and awareness of Nigerian Cultural Heritage, Monuments and Sites. As such, we would like to put out this call for publications inviting contributions from academics, policymakers and practitioners on the theme of Cultural Heritage preservation.

Members are encouraged to share with us resources deemed necessary to create a digital repository of literary sources and material pertaining to tangible and intangible Nigerian Cultural Heritage. This will provide a collection of literary material featuring past and present developments in the field so that knowledge can be shared. The collection aims to provide a multi- and inter-disciplinary forum for current thinking during this fast evolving field of scholarship to inform current practices in the heritage preservation field.

Areas of interest from a broad spectrum are welcomed, including, but not limited to:

Best practice in the field

Philosophy and ethics involved in the preservation of cultural heritage monuments and sites

Public policy

Articles and books on past and present heritage projects

Accepted formats for submission include, PDF files, links to published articles and/or journals, Abstracts, Bibliographic sources, case studies etc. Files and links can be emailed to …

Submissions are welcome on a rolling basis for the continued update of available resources. We look forward to your contributions.
